First Rolls-Royce Cullinan Gets 1016 Industries $85,000 Widebody Kit

Together with the Mercedes-AMG G63 and the Lamborghini Urus, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan occupies the very top of the luxury/performance SUV market. It basically costs a lot of money, demands respect and is bought by some of the richest, most famous people. Some of them like to spend even more money on the Cullinan, setting it apart with body kits, like the one just launched by 1016 Industries.

Now, I will admit that other companies are already famous for Cullinan body kits, especially Mansory, but also Novitec. However, 1016 Industries was already famous for its Lamborghini and McLaren packages, s it’s only natural to serve them a slice of Rolls-Royce pie.

The widebody kit is available in FRP, partial carbon, partial forged carbon, and “Black Badge”, according to the official website of the tuner. It ranges in price from $53,000 to $85,000. There’s a little confusion here, since Black Badge is the official name of the Cullinan’s fancy special version.

But none of that is important at the moment, since we’re actually witnessing a test prototype being fitted to the first 1013 Industries widebody Cullinan. RDB LA is taking care of it and says it’s got multiple pre-orders going on.

Since it’s a prototype, it required some filler and sanding to make it fit perfectly to this ultra-expensive SUV. And to save time, the kit was wrapped in white, not painted.

The extra parts are easy to spot. New fender flairs are attached to the Cullinan, and they supposedly add over 4 inches of width. A new bumper, which is the most striking part, is then added, completely upgrading the look of the vehicle.

For $85,000 you could get a premium SUV

For the money, you also receive chunky side skirts and multiple other inserts at the bottom of the SUV. Yes, it even has a rear diffuser. RDB is not the most creative tuner in the world, but they deliver great installs and vehicle color changes. In this case, the lower part of the Cullinan has been wrapped white and all the trim is black for that two-tone stormtrooper look.

They also have their own wheel designs now, 24-inch alloys with an aero design having been fabricated specifically due to the requirements of the widebody. All this was done for Jalen Ramsey, the cornerback of the Los Angeles Rams. If I remember correctly, his Cullinan used to be wrapped Army Green a few months back, though some celebs have more than one of these things.

For 2022, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan costs from about $350,000, though these Black Badge models often push past $500,000. They make a $160,000 Maybach or $250,000 Bentayga Speed seem reasonably priced.

The 6.75-liter V12 remains as smooth as maple syrup, and it also makes a bit more power, 592 hp versus just 563 hp that you get normally. For the extra money, RR takes all of the exterior chrome and finishes it in shiny black, including the main grille and all the window trim.
