WhistlinDiesel Smashes Lamborghini Glass With a Hammer, Tj Hunt Says He’s Not Surprised

A few of our readers might remember the story of how WhistlinDiesel bought a custom-built, twin-turbo Lamborghini Huracan from another famous car YouTuber, Tj Hunt. It was big news at the time, a top trending video, but it also meant the lovely SEMA build might get used and abused.

The inevitable has happened. A few days ago, WhistlinDiesel took to Instagram where he showed himself smashing the Lamborghini. No, not by accident; he just took a big rubber hammer and smacked it into the rear glass of the V10 supercar.

On the third hit, the glass engine cover broke, and Cody continues to hit every remaining section until it was all in tiny pieces littering the bay. The video titled simply “Not impressed” has no context, but received a lot of likes on Instagram.

If you’ve been following this YouTuber for a while, you’ll know this is actually his style of content creation. All the trucks, cars, boats, and bikes he ever bought have been abused and beaten up. Of course, there’s nothing quite as nice as this twin-turbo Lamborghini in his collection, and I honestly thought he’d leave it alone since he already has that Audi R8.

With this stunt, the “CEO of we do not care” is actually trying to suggest that the Lamborghini Huracan isn’t good. It’s the type of content he’s known for, and fans of the channel will surely appreciate the bashing of an exotic they might not be able to afford. “You know the dumbest thing about Lamborghinis? They donโ€™t come with Lambo doors. Therefore this car is trash,” he says in a post.

What’s the damage to the Lambo?

We looked online and a brand new glass engine cover would cost $4,800. The YouTuber has very completely destroyed both of the matte black vented covering panels, which costs another $800. However, it’s possible that the frame was also damaged. With installation and miscellaneous parts, this could easily turn into a $10,000 job.

It’s possible that Cody will continue abusing the hell out of the car before selling it. In a previous stunt, he drove the twin-turbo Lamborghini at 200 miles per hour in the desert, and that resulted in some bumper damage.

It’s possible that after he’s done abusing it, the Huracan will be sold. On the other hand, he could just drive it like that or fit some new aftermarket parts, perhaps ones that can withstand a good hammering. Even the “Lambo doors” issue can be fixed with a kit from Vertical Doors Inc.

What Tj Hunt has to say

The Lamborghini Huracan was sold by Tj Hunt to WhistlinDiesel four months ago. However, the news only broke a couple of months ago, and from the start, fans expect something bad to happen with the Lambo.

After being inundated with DMs, Tj Hunt took a break from his Corvette widebody build to make a statement. He fully expected something like this to happen with his old supercar and isn’t sad about it.

Itโ€™s not my car. If he decided to blow it up the next day or take off a cliff the next day, itโ€™s not my car.”

Tj also believes the glass was being shattered with the intention of a new design being installed. The YouTuber points towards the Aventador-style cover with multiple stepped pieces, which is indeed cooler than what was on the old 2014 model.
