Rapper Lil Uzi Vert Has a Crazy Audi R8 With Chrome Anime Wrap

You know, it’s really not surprising that rapper Lil Uzi Vert has an extreme car collection. After all, he’s got “vert” right there in the name, but this next one is still kind of out there and unexpected. It’s the Audi R8, a German V10-powered supercar, that’s been heavily customized: engine, interior, and especially that chrome wrap.

Unless we’re mistaken, Lil Uzi even has a song dedicated to this car, which goes “Audi, Audi, Audi” a lot. And even though it’s not classy or even easy to look at, this R8 still deserves to be famous.

The car world is filled with great anime wraps, and this is honestly not the best, but it is entertaining. And the fact Uzi went with this look shows this niche way of customizing has become fully mainstream.

The wrap was created at Car Effex in Sewell, New Jersey. Sadly, we can’t tell you exactly which anime characters were referenced, not even using Google Lens. However, the one on the side could be Azusa Nakano from K-ON! which is an anime about a school band that was released way back in 2009, so the one on the hood is probably pretty old too.

The internet is saying the wrap is based on the popular anime Sword Art Online. So the character on the hood could be Sinon in a China dress. However, this is pretty difficult to confirm.

Lil Uzi Vert has never hidden his love for Japanese cartoons. A few years ago, h had a song called Sasuke based on the popular character from Naruto. And in a way, he tried to transition to a full anime character with that diamond forehead implant he did.

My least favorite part of the wrap is how the pink and blue seem murky printed over the chrome wrap. It looks like one of those cheap toy cars where the paint comes off as you start playing with it. This look is exacerbated by the toy-like Alpin widebody kit, with fender flares that bolt straight onto the bodywork of what used to be worth about $150,000.

Of course, Lil Uzi Vert has dumped a bunch more money into this project. Although they might not be classy, we assure you that the carbon chin splitter, Forgiato wheels, and large GT wing are all expensive parts. The Audi R8 also sports a set of rally lights at the front and a twin-turbo kit from Sheepy, one of the best shops for tuning these V10s. Whistlindiesel was a Sheepy when he hot his Lamborghini Huracan, for reference.

Surprisingly, the interior is even crazier than the outside, It’s got “VERT” written in lights on the headrests, pink Sparco bucket seats, and a yolk-style steering wheel. When this R8 came out in 2015, I remember thinking it was possibly the best interior Audi ever made, but just look at it now!
