James Condon, the YouTuber better known as The Stradman, is now the proud owner of a Koenigsegg Agera HH, one of the rarest hypercars in the world. Getting to this point has been a long journey for him, but he’s always made it clear that owning a car like this was a dream of his.
About 5 years ago, Stradman made a post saying his dream at 19 was to own a Huracan with a roof box, which he did. And by 35, he wanted a Koenigsegg. So when he announced he was “shopping for a hypercar” we always knew it was going to be this and not the other contenders, which included a McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Bugatti Chiron.
European exotic car fans know that Koenigseggs are rare, savagely powerful, and obscenely expensive. This is no exception, but the Agera HH is basically a 1-of-1.
What Koenigsegg does Stradman own?
The Agera came out in 2010, when it was named Hypercar of the Year by Top Gear magazine. Soon after that, the Agera R came out, essentially a record-setting machine making 1,140 hp by running on E85. This 180-hp increase was the main reason for that legendary 0-300-0 run.
However, the wealthy billionaires of Asia didn’t have access to E85 biofuel. Specifically for them, four examples of the Agera S were built. A fifth one was constructed to US specifications, but it was dubbed the “Agera HH” and is thus unique.
The Agera HH was ordered by Danish programmer David Heinemeier Hansson. His initial gave the car its name, and its spec is a match for the Pagani Zonda HH which he also owned. It’s Monterey Blue with a carbon section down the middle. Chassis 7099 also has the AirCore Carbon wheels, which were revolutionary at the time.
When it landed in 2014, the Agera HH was the only Agera left in the United States. And in 2015, it was involved in the Humball 3000 rally, being driven by Lewis Hamilton. Amazingly, Stardman filmed a YouTube video with this very car at the time
How much did Stradman pay for the Agera?
We have quite a bit of history on the car, but we can only do an estimate of its value. The Agera HH spent most of the last couple of years in storage before being sold to Houston Crosta, an exotic car renter/YouTuber.
He did a lot of miles, changed the exhaust twice, and wrapped it. Back in spring 2023, it was back on the market, and on December 23rd, Stradman revealed it was in his possession, wearing a bright pink wrap.
So how much did he pay? Well, it wasn’t a direct purchase, but a swap. Houston received Stradman’s Hummer EV and, most importantly, his Bugatti Veyron. Houston bought it for about $2.6 million with 4300 miles on the clock and now it’s got 8100 miles, so we estimate the value at $2.2 million.
Update: In his latest video titled “The Massive Financial Consequences of my Koenigsegg” Stradman went into more financial detail. He said he pays $35,645 per month in lease payments on his hypercar. Why a lease? Tax reasons.
