The Aston Martin DBX is already one of the rarest performance SUVs in the world. But if you want something truly unique, there’s the Mansory-tuned DBX, a carbon-clad version with aggressive styling and the potential to make almost 800 horsepower.
The Aston Martin DBX competes for customers with other ultra-expensive SUVs like the Bentley Bentayga and Porsche Cayenne. However, not many people realize it’s pretty rare. They sold just 692 examples in 2021, and as a result, the Mansory version is uncommon. In fact, we only found pictures for three of them, and one just popped up for sale.
The famous luxury car dealership Hollmann International just listed an Aston Martin DBX tuned by Mansory. It costs €400,000 for export or €476,000 including tax if you’re going to keep it in Europe. The dollar is the strongest (against the euro) it’s been in 20 years, at a near 1:1 parity, which means you can import this into America for less than $500,000. That’s way more than a stock model at $195,000, but everything has been changed here, including the engine and interior.
The Mansory touch for SUVs
Mansory is famed for their wild body kits, but they usually perform a full refinement of the car, inside and out. As you can see from this photo gallery, the Mansory Aston Martin DBX is a very aggressive SUV with a noticeable body kit and lots of aero.
Mansory is the ones who did the paint here, a cool Satin Grey finish that almost makes the carbon fiber invisible. It’s accentuated with bright lime green lines everywhere. At the front, the carbon fiber spoiler brings the car visually closer to the ground. This kit also wraps elements around the LED halo lights at the bottom of the bumper.
Fender flares are also added to extend the DBX a couple of inches on either side, creating room for Mansory’s bespoke 24-inch wheels, painted satin black and paired with yellow brakes. The tuner also does a carbon insert for the front fenders and custom carbon vents on the hood.
Moving down the side, we notice large side skirts and widebody inserts for the door and rear quarter panel. However, the rear is the most dramatic angle of all. Mansory added a bolt-on wing to the trunk lid and another wing on top of the car. The DBX also required a carbon fiber diffuser, which hopefully creates a little bit of downforce.
Mansory DBX performance gains
Hollmann always lists the factory power output for legal reasons, so the DBX is listed at the usual 542 horsepower. As a reminder, thus British SUV packs a German V8, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 supplied by Mercedes-AMG.
However, we suspect this widebody DBX makes more power than even Aston Martin’s own 707 model. When Mansory revealed this SUV late in 2021, it was quoted at 800 PS and 1000 Nm of torque, equivalent to 789 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. This is achieved through new turbochargers, a new air filter and a complete exhaust system revision. As you can see, this now has two pipes in the middle of the car, a bit like the Cayenne Turbo GT.
