As the Lamborghini Urus is preparing to welcome its mid-cycle revamp—it should land later this year—the aftermarket side of the industry can’t stop releasing fresh body kits for the super-SUV. However, this widebody, which made it to social media just hours ago, is not your average unit, as it comes from Liberty Walk.
Nowadays, Liberty Walk is famous all over the world, with its aero manipulation hardware touching a plethora of brands. However, the Lamborghini brand was the one that arguably saw the international reputation of the Japanese specialist skyrocketing after its 1993 inception, which saw founder Wataru Kato initially focusing on body kits for the country’s diminutive Kei cars.
So far, the company only handled Lamborghini supercars, from the V10 Gallardo and Huracan to the V12 Murcielago and Aventador (plus its insane Miura demo car, based on a replica). And while the Urus is not its first SUV kit (e.g.: G-Class), the developer promises to dive deeper into this booming slice of the pie—perhaps we’ll get something for the upcoming Ferrari Purosangue?
The LB Works Lamborghini Urus
The LB Works Lamborghini Urus widebody starts with a package containing the front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear wing plus trunk wing, and, of course, the beefier fenders (note the air extractor-like front ornaments). Choose the FRP (fiber-reinforced polymer) version and you’ll pay $30,800, while the dry carbon version bumps that to $47,000.
Then there’s the “complete version”, which really means adding a vented hood for an extra 5,500 (make that $10,530 if dry carbon is your thing). As with other kits, the said elements can also be had separately.
The company is already taking orders for the aero pack, which is its first new kit for 2022. And Liberty Walk also plans to bring its Urus to the SEMA show in early November.
We’ve already had plenty of attention-grabbing announcements for the custom car event in Las Vegas, from a modern-day GMC Sierra to take on the Bronco to the FE32, an F1-styled ’32 Ford linked to the Need for Speed series and powered by batteries. So Liberty Walk’s Urus is set to be in select company.
Meanwhile, this new release is enjoying some rather intense siblings over in the Land of the Rising Sun—have you seen Liberty Walk’s widebody commercial truck?
