But for this month’s durability testing, we have something very cheap that you probably don’t even want to own. It’s the world’s smallest truck, straight from China.
Picture a cheap Power Wheels knockoff, but slightly bigger. It’s built like a toy, powered by a small battery and barely reaches running speed. These things are also advertised as the world’s cheapest pickups because they start from $2,000. Sure, you could get some rusty 80s Chevy or Ford for that money, but you could argue that this is brand new, right? Not really, because it’s not a real vehicle.
Also, Cody says that while the vehicle costs $2,000, shipping it to America was $8,000. Where’s your bargain now? Actually, we can elaborate much further because of the famous YouTube channel Donut Media, who imported the exact same thing. The process required many months of planning and patience, two things WhistlinDiesel isn’t renowned for.
Anyway, the vehicle is called the Chang Li CLZKC-010, but you will also find it listed as the Pak Yak, which is a little more catchy. And it actually starts from $2,200 right now, but Alibaba does give out some discounts to new buyers. However, that’s not even the real price. Donut says the battery isn’t included… just like a toy. The standard battery is $300, but they opted for an upgraded 60V100AH battery which costs $1,080. The hydraulic piston for the dump truck bed is another $250.
The real problem is shipping to America… or any other place in the world that isn’t China. The transport itself is cheap, only about $450. However, forwarding and various taxes end up costing another $4,000. It is absolutely crazy, and the customs formalities would put any normal person off from buying this thing… except a famous YouTuber who can make millions of views from beating on a Chinese truck.
Pak Yak durability testing
Right, this is a WhistlinDiesel video, so you know something this cheap will get completely destroyed. So the little Chinese pickup is sent over to Home Depot to carry way more than it’s supposed to. A mini-sized excavator is also loaded up into the bed and then dumped out. A giant tool storage unit is dropped onto it, and a whole excavator shovel of gravel is dropped onto it. Honestly, we’re a little surprised it survived this long.
Out comes a giant boulder, reportedly weighing 7,000 pounds. This completely destroys the rear section of the Chinese pickup to the point were it can’t even be driven. And to finish it off, Cody brings out his insane monster truck, the Monstermax 2. It could honestly be the world’s biggest twin-diesel-motor pickup, a behemoth weighing about 50,000 pounds. it’s used to drag the Chinese import, tear it to shreds and eventually crush it using its massive wheels.
