Mansory makes the world’s craziest, most expensive custom SUVs. This latest project isn’t as extreme as the 2-door coupe conversion for the Lamborghini Urus or the short G63 with suicide doors. However, the widebody Cadillac Escalade is the company’s first American SUV, offering familiar carbon upgrades and nice wheels.
Mansory is a luxury car modifier from Germany. A decade ago, it was famous for things like the Continental GT or the Porsche Panamera, which all the athletes owned. But today, it’s all about SUVs, and Mansory’s portfolio includes extreme body kits for the Lamborghini Urus, the Bentley Bentayga, or the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. They even target the amazing new Range Rover, so the Cadillac was a natural transition.
The Escalade is one of the most famous SUVs of all time, certainly the most famous to wear an American badge (Tesla excluded). The previous generations were great, but this 2023 model is honestly a home run, so we’re not surprised that European tuners are taking notice.
Last year, Larte Design released a widebody kit for the Escalade, but honestly, this one is way more advanced. It takes everything Mercedes owners put on their G63s and offers it on a Cadillac. Will this formula prove successful?
Monoblock-style wheels
Based on the design of the wheels alone, we think it’s going to be successful. Retro wheel designs are becoming so popular that Dubai millionaires are putting 80s alloys on their brand-new Brabus G63s. The trend is showing right here as well with a design that looks a lot like the classic Mercedes Monoblock.
This design looks like the new FD series which Mansory only recently made available. The FD.15 is a forged alloy and is quite expensive to make, having been fitted to a few Maybach projects and that G63 with the suicide doors we mentioned. However, the Escalade has a specific bolt pattern, and at 26 inches in diameter, these are very large.
The 10×26-inch gloss black alloys are also wrapped up in 295/30R26 performance tires. Unfortunately, the German tuners worked on a normal version of the Escalade, which means the V8 engine is not supercharged, but they have tuned it.
Normally, the Vortec 6.2-liter is rated at 420 horsepower, but the Germans claim it delivers “461 PS, 650 Nm” which is equivalent to 456 hp and 479 pound-feet of torque. A performance exhaust system has been fitted, complete with quad exhaust pipes, but we believe it’s also been remapped. Mansory is also working on a modified V-Series, so be prepared for crazy numbers.
The body kit they chose to develop is relatively subtle. However, it includes extra trim pieces for the front air intakes, a carbon spoiler with added lights, and vents for the hood. Down the sides, we see new mirror caps, fake vents for the fenders, and revised skirts. Finally, the rear has been optimized through the addition of a trunk spoiler, a large F1-style diffuser, and tint.
Inside, the Escalade has received upgraded carpets, upholstery, and what appears to be a steering wheel with thicker bolsters. Mansory logos are dotted all over the place, including the carbon sills.
