TikTok Star Daniel Mac Buys His $100,000 Dream Car, a Porsche Cayman GT4

Daniel Mac is the guy who walks around asking people “what do you do for a living?”. After two years of filming some of the Internet’s most viral videos, he’s earned enough money to buy his dream car, a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4. It’s not a Ferrari or Lamborghini, but if you know anything about sports cars, you probably agree with his choice.

I’m not a hardcore fan of ItsDanielMac, but you’ll find various stories out there claiming he owns this supercar and that, and I believe they’re fake. After all, the guy shoots Ferraris and Lamborghinis all day, and just because he might sit next to one doesn’t mean it’s his. On top of this, several people have lent him their exotics hoping to borrow some of his clout. For example, Manny Khoshbin let him have the McLaren P1, and another guy gave him the keys to a Ferrari Roma.

But this is the first time Daniel has publicly shown himself signing the papers, paying the money, and getting the keys to his very own exotic. In his words, this has been an unbelievable journey. Two years ago, he didn’t know much about editing videos and was so shy that he never appeared on camera. But in 2022, he had various viral videos, meeting up with Joe Biden and the Pagani big boss himself, Horacio.

Various stories and videos out there suggest Daniel Macdonald makes millions every month. So why has the 24-year-old chosen a Porsche Cayman? Well, first of all, it’s an amazing car, plus you have to remember all those hundreds of millions of views on YouTube Shorts and TikToks basically don’t pay anything. Maybe that’s why some of his more recent videos feel like… promotional product placement.

“I was not a content creator by any means, I was too shy to really even show my face for the first year,” Daniel says. “But thanks to all of you here, I am owning something that seemed so out of grasp just two years ago.”

This 2-seater may seem a little boring for somebody with 13.6 million TikTok followers, but we assure you it’s one of the best driving cars in the world. Specifically, we’re looking at a 718 Cayman GT4.

Caymans have always been Porsche’s entry-level sports cars, and engineers have held back from fitting the best tech. However, this is a full-fat motorsport car from the people that made the excellent GT3. The most amazing part: the engine, a pure 4.0-liter flat-six, filled with character as it sings to 8,000rpm with no turbocharger in sight.

it produces 414 hp and 309 pound-feet of torque, which when fitted with the PDK gearbox should be enough for 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds.

The price? Well, technically, it starts from $108,000, but Porsches are in hot demand, so there are markups, plus this has some options. We easily spotted the gold paint on the wheels for $600 and the full bucket seats costing $5,900. PDK is $3,210 and the Chrono Pack is another $550. Of course, that’s probably just the tip of the iceberg.
