Even if you’ve never come close to a lawn in your life, Hollywood has made sure we all know how teenagers can make money by mowing people’s lawns. This “early job” seems to have also found its way to YouTube. And, even though the guys doing it aren’t teenagers, nor ar they particularly keen on trimming the grass, these vloggers have come up with an eyebrow-lifting contraption. Enter the lawn mower quad.
Now, you’d imagine this sort of camera-savvy redneck engineering was done on a whim. And while you wouldn’t be entirely wrong, it seems the crew over at the CboysTV YouTube channel has a bit of history in the field.
The vloggers, whose channel sat at 1.54 million subscribers at the time of press, had recently fitted a lawn mower to a dirt bike. Much to nobody’s surprise, that shenanigan didn’t take them too far, as steering the resulting five-wheel contraption was quite impossible.

So, the guys went back to the funny board and decided to double down on their effort, quite literally. As such, the Cormorant Lake, Minnesota-based group bought a pair of Remington 21-inch push mowersโthe second cheapest option on the market, according to themโwith each one replacing a front wheel of a quad.
The fabrication, which involved using ski brackets for mounting the mowers, didn’t take long, so the vloggers quickly took theโฆ ten-wheeler for a spin. And, returning to the said throrough approach, they subjected the lawn mower quad to all the challenges you can imagine.
Once the cutting test was over, it was time for a grass race against a high-end vehicle in this filed, which appears to be a John Deere Zero-Turn Mower.
Up next, the invention was pushed to around 50 mph/80 kph (please keep in mind not to attempt this on your own!), with a road test included. However, all the parts of the contraption point out to off-road use. So the boys headed over to one of their favorite dirt playgrounds, going for some jump stunts.
All we can say before inviting you to check out the clip below is that things didn’t end well for the lawn mower quad during this final phase of testing. Oh well, at least the only pain that resulted was from having one too many giggles.
