Sixth-Gen Chevrolet Camaro with Vicious Shirokai Widebody Looks Like a Stormtrooper

While Dodge and Ford have continued to make efforts for updating their muscle cars over the past few years, GM has all but abandoned the Chevrolet Camaro, only introducing minor color/trim or package updates, with rumors about a retirement persisting. However, the iconic nameplate is kept under the spotlights thanks to the aftermarket. And the latest development for the sixth-gen Camaro is a widebody kit from Shirokai.

Having previously introduced a widebody kit for the Gen V Camaro, among other modern muscle cars, the specialist has now released a series of renderings showcasing its Gen VI ‘Maro aero package.

It’s worth noting that the goodies fit the models built between 2015 and 2018 (these are the production years for the pre-revamp Camaro).

Featuring the dominant style of our day (think: add-on overfenders with visible rivets rather than molded ones), this CGI Camaro sports a massive stance.

Plenty of added real estate

The front fenders now come with non-function air extractors, while also using vents at the backโ€”the latter element is also present on the rear overfenders. Speaking of which, the muscle car is now 80 mm (3.15 inches) wider per side up front, with the value for the rear rising to 100 mm (3.9 inches) for each side.

In addition, the package includes a front splitter and side bumper panels, door elements, side skirts, as well as a trunk lid spoiler that makes for one of the most aggressive parts here.

The components are made from ABS plastic, with the price currently being listed at $3,990.

Returning to the fate of the Camaro, while Dodge has announced its electric muscle car plans (a 2022 concept followed by a production model in 2024) and Ford’s upcoming S650 Mustang (7th Gen) has been spied and leaked on repeated occasions, General Motors has been tight-lipped about its muscle car.

All we’ve received so far is a teaser that supposedly showcases an all-electric version of the Camaro, so it appears we still have some waiting to do.
