Even if it’s the most successful Lamborghini right now, the Urus only comes in the 641 horsepower flavor. As a result, the aftermarket industry is huge, but there are few tuning goodies with the pedigree of this Novitec Esteso widebody.
Despite troubling economic conditions, Lamborghini announced record sales for 2021: 8,405 cars, 13% higher than the previous year. The Urus accounted for the bulk of that, with 5,021 units of the super-SUV being shipped. That’s twice as many as the Huracan and more than six times compared to the V12 Aventador.
The Novitec widebody kit for the Lamborghini Urus kit has been available for many years (since 2019) but never got the attention it deserves. Perhaps it’s not as ugly as the Mansory one, and that’s somehow a bad thing.
The first thing that caught out attention with this unit being sold by Hallmann International is not the body kit, but the color. It’s Viola Pasifae, which should be a $10,000 option and probably hasn’t been applied to the Urus ever before. The color is mostly specific to ultra-exclusive Aventador SVJ, although there have been a few Huracan high-end models too (STO, Performance).
The seller states factory output numbers on all listings, but we know Novitec offers two stages of tune. There is every indication that the engine has been modified: Novitec exhaust, X Pipe, downpipe, sports catalyst, exhaust flaps, and custom tips.
The super-SUV from the house of Sant’Agata Bolognese makes 641 hp/650 PS when it leaves the factory. It’s one of the strongest contenders in this segment, as you’ve probably seen in multiple drag race videos. Novitec each bank of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with a plug-and-play tuning module which provides the engine management system new maps for fuel injection and turbo boost pressure. This increases the output to either 740 or 780 hp.
Widebody Urus refinement
If there is a family SUV that you would want to daily drive which is way over the top, this would have to be it. The Urus “Esteso” by Novitec obviously comes with wider fenders which add inches of bodywork. It receives a new bumper as well, featuring enlarged air intakes and a pointy chin spoiler.
Several elements are made from carbon fiber, but you can barely notice this because of how bright the purple paint is. These include the mirror caps, an insert for the hood, two aero elements added to the trunk lid and the spoiler.
Novitec also fitted the car with some massive 23-inch forged Noitec alloys in gloss black, which almost touch the fenders thanks to the suspension control module. And the price of all this? โฌ511,462 in Europe or โฌ429,800 without tax if you’re going to export this. That’s about $450,000 at the current exchange rate.
Objectively speaking, no SUV should cost that much. But the Urus did leave the factory with a nice interior, complete with the 3D B&O sound system and Bianco Polar leather upholstery.
