Comedian Karlous Miller’s Clean 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Packs a Surprise Under the Hood, One in the Trunk

Comedian Karlous Miller is going to have a hot summer, at least as far as automotive things go. For one, the Mississippi-born artist has recently had his 1969 Chevrolet Camaro upgraded: the interior receiving a complete makeover. And, as mentioned above, while the engine bay is naturally the main focus when it comes to such a muscle car, Karlous has made sure the other end of the vehicle is equally special.

As you’d expect from somebody in showbiz nowadays, the comedian owns multiple machines. And, judging by what we could see on his Instagram, he has a thing for retro GM machines, with the Golden Bowtie badge taking center stage.

Returning to his Camaro, the 1969 model year is of special significance to the OG Chevy muscle car. That’s when the model, which had been introduced for the 1967 model year, received its first major visual revampโ€”the easiest way to recognize this involves the fenders, which received a dynamic horizontal line just above the wheel arches.

Now, Karlous’s ‘Maro keeps a clean look. Heck, if it wasn’t for the Forgiato wheels, which come in a 20-inch size on all four corners, people might’ve mistaken this restomod for a stock example.

However, if we peek through the spokes of the multi-pieces units, we’ll notice Wildood disc brakes. That serious stopping power was a must. You see, the 350 badge on the front fenders is a trick, as this classic muscle car now rocks LS3 motivation, with an automatic tranny keeping things cozy.

A houndstooth theme for the cabin and trunk

The dominant color inside the ’69 Camaro is black, but the houndstooth fabric present throughout the cabin, along with the orange contrast stitching means the original design stands out.

And while the side windows still feature a crank mechanism, the dashboard instruments have been upgraded to a digital setup in blue, courtesy of Dakota Digital. And yes, the’re modern air conditioning in there.

The said houndstooth theme is also found in the trunk, albeit with this featuring a fully flush theme. And the explanation for the zero luggage space comes from the specialist who handled the work, namely South-Carolina-based Rico Montgomery (aka Stiched by Slick).

Karlous Miller’s rapper personality shows up in here

It all involves the massive trunk-mounted speakers and their boxes. And since the artist also likes to involve in rap battles, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

As a bonus, if we look on the other side of the black vinyl top, we’ll find a suede finish that gives this classic interior a more lavish touch.

Now, if the name of the cabin specialist sounds familiar, it could be thanks to the eccentric build that is his C8 Corvette interior-swapped third-generation Chevrolet Camaro, which the enthusiast built for his wife Takeila.
