Forget Tony Stark, Ken Block is our kind of superhero after the drifting legend joined up with Audi. As part of his Electric Fleet six-part video series for Hoonigan, he’s now showcasing the perfect daily driver for the 21st century, a custom Audi RS e-tron GT on Rotiform wheels.
This transition has been amazing, as the famous driver now has a 730 horsepower custom Quattro and has also been to Germany where he raced Audi’s Group B rally car and a unique classic prototype.
We honestly thought the e-tron SUV would be Ken Block’s new all-electric daily driver. But he had something else in mind, something that’s been customized. We are, of course, talking about the RS e-tron GT.
This is one of the most expensive and powerful production EVs, but the Gymkhana star couldn’t resist wrapping it in matte white with a roof box and Hoonigan livery. In the video, Block’s co-host calls this a Stormtrooper, after the popular car look that’s based on the Star Wars soldiers in shiny white armor.
The wheels are just as important as the car. Social media chose these Rotiform alloys, which is why they’re mismatched. At the front, you’ve got an Aerodisc design, followed by a 6-spoke NGO for the rear. Toyo Tires also got involved as a sponsor, their logos being accentuated in white.
Introducing the Audi RS e-tron GT
Sadly, Ken Block’s Audi e-tron doesn’t have any crazy upgraded turbos… because it’s electric. But the RS e-tron GT is still the most powerful Audi currently in production. With overboost, its dual motors can produce up to 637 horsepower and will take you to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
“It’s the perfect fit for me, my family, and all the wild snowboard adventures that I partake in here in Utah on the daily basis,” the Hoonigan man says.
So does that mean it’s going to be used for snow drifting? It’s unclear what kind of content will follow. But Hoonigan is known for making miss-matched drag racing videos. And we know the RS e-tron GT is great as shooting in a straight line. Something tells us they’ve actually made a great car much slower, though.
Audi x Ken Block = Electrikhana
Block has worked with many automakers, and we actually love his “unfaithful” nature. Otherwise, we wouldn’t know what a Subaru WRX on snow tracks or an AWD Ford Mustang, the Hoonicorn, looks like. At the end of 2021, he announced a partnership with Audi.
The German automaker has presented the S1 e-tron, a quattro drift machine. When development is finished, the electric Hoonitron will be the star of the new Gymkhana video, which is dubbed Electrikhana.
